Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Finlay McShane (ranked 3684 p4p, 4412 weight class) and Magic Simbolon (ranked 418 p4p, 480 weight class). Finlay McShane could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Magic Simbolon's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Finlay McShane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Magic Simbolon! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simbolon throws a body punch but McShane moves out of range. McShane tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Simbolon pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Simbolon scores with a nice right hand.
Simbolon jabs at McShane's body. Simbolon scores with a nice strike. Simbolon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McShane definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. McShane connects with a solid leg kick. Simbolon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Simbolon lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. McShane scores with a kick to the body.
Simbolon fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McShane has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McShane takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Simbolon cracks McShane with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. McShane has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Simbolon. Simbolon throws a head kick that misses. Simbolon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. McShane throws a leg kick but Simbolon moved away.
That's one minute gone in the round. McShane changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Simbolon tries to avoid it but McShane manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Simbolon to the ground. Simbolon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Simbolon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. McShane drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. McShane postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. McShane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Simbolon swivels though and keeps the full guard. McShane is working hard here to advance position. Simbolon is trying to control the position but McShane postures up. McShane stands and throws Simbolon's legs to the side, diving into side control. McShane moves into full mount! Simbolon is squirming around, avoiding McShane's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McShane raining down hammerfists from mount. Simbolon is trying to stand. Simbolon is squirming around, avoiding McShane's attempts to control the action. Simbolon tries to get back to half guard but can't. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McShane in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
McShane has hold of Simbolon's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Simbolon manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
McShane scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Simbolon?

That's three minutes gone in the round. McShane trying to control but he's not successful this time. McShane tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. McShane working the ground and pound effectively.
McShane unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Simbolon wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! McShane celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Finlay McShane! In his post fight interview, Finlay McShane started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
