Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dao Bosu (ranked 5444 p4p, 2660 weight class) and Larry Down (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Down has chosen 17 Girls In A Row as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dao Bosu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Larry Down!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Down shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bosu as he avoids it easily.
Bosu tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Down manages to circle out of the way.
Down fails with a takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Down is defended easily by Bosu.
Bosu drops down looking for a counter takedown but Down sprawls and moves away.
Dao Bosu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Larry Down.
Down misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Down darts in and clinches Bosu up against the cage.

Down looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Down shoots in looking for a takedown but Bosu manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Down's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Bosu appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Down throws a left and a right that both miss

and Bosu counters with a nice double leg into side control. Down won't be happy with that.

You can see the frustration on Down's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Down can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Bosu keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Down's efforts to push away.

Bosu has Down pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bosu pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Down tumbling to the mat - Bosu dives into Down's guard.
Down is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Bosu dives into side control.

Down is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bosu connects with a decent elbow.

Bosu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Down is trying to control Bosu's posture but Bosu avoids it.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Down is pressed up against the cage. Bosu has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Down down to the mat. Down avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dao Bosu.
I think Bosu has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
