Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renan Filho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Da Silva comes to the cage accompanied by It's a Fight. Renan Filho is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renan Filho!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filho tries to clinch but Da Silva is having none of it.
Da Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Da Silva.
Da Silva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Filho swivels and escapes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Filho shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Da Silva's guard.

Da Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Filho wants to get up but he can't break Da Silva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Da Silva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Filho manages to get himself to full guard.

Da Silva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Filho is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Da Silva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Filho's back instead.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Filho is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

and Filho counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Da Silva's guard now.
Filho is looking to stand up but Da Silva won't let him.

Da Silva bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Filho's guard.
Da Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Filho swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Da Silva will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Da Silva has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Filho's body.

Filho is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Da Silva off. It looks like it's working - Da Silva slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Filho displaying calm under pressure there.

Oh but Da Silva is tightening it up a little... Filho has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Filho reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Filho taps out! nice BJJ there by Da Silva!
