PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Walt Dykstra (ranked 1090 p4p, 1050 weight class) and Crucifix Hill (ranked 30 p4p, 29 weight class). Hill has chosen Highway to Hell - by AC/DC as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Crucifix Hill!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill tries to clinch there but Dykstra circles away.
Crucifix Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dykstra looks to score with a jab to the body but Hill is just out of range.
Hill tries to clinch up but Dykstra circles away and keeps his distance.
Hill connects with a right hand. Dykstra shakes it off.
Dykstra blocks a head kick by Hill.
Dykstra swings for the body but Hill moves out of range.
Despite the aggression on Hill's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Hill throws an overhand right that lands on Dykstra's shoulder, as Dykstra tries to avoid the shot.
Dykstra throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hill works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Hill looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dykstra lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hill circles away quickly and effectively.
Dykstra stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hill.
Hill tries to clinch up.
Hill throws a sloppy head kick and Dykstra moves out of range easily.
Hill doesn't manage to clinch there - Dykstra circles away.
Hill walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Dykstra checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
A left lands for Dykstra.

It looks like Crucifix Hill has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dykstra throws a body shot but no joy.
Dykstra wants to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dykstra shoots for a double leg takedown but Hill sprawls well. He's pushed Dykstra's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hill tries to clinch but Dykstra is having none of it.
Dykstra tries to clinch up.
Hill works Dykstra's body with a nice hook.
Crucifix Hill is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dykstra misses with a hook.
Dykstra connects with a looping right hand.
Hill lands with a kick to the ribs.
Dykstra is breathing heavily.
Good standup being displayed there by Hill as he connects with a hook.

It looks like Walt Dykstra has been cut.
Hill's corner calls for a 1-2. Hill obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Hill clinches.
Dykstra blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hill lands a hook that snaps the head of Dykstra backwards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hill tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Hill is working Dykstra over against the cage.
Hill lands a shot to the body.
Hill pushes Dykstra against the cage. Hill is working some dirty boxing. Hill pushes off with a quick right hook! Dykstra goes down! Dykstra tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Hill moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Crucifix Hill!
Crucifix Hill spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
