Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Keith Thurman (ranked 2922 p4p, 5646 weight class) and Ben Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Thurman might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to DMX lord give me a sign. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keith Thurman !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Sonnen!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sonnen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Thurman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sonnen goes for a double leg but Thurman avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Thurman continues to drive forward.
Sonnen takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Sonnen shoots in for a takedown but Thurman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Keith Thurman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Sonnen.
Thurman uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Sonnen dives in for a single leg takedown but Thurman sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sonnen is defended easily by Thurman .
Thurman lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Thurman , as that shot connected.
Sonnen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Sonnen is rocked!
Thurman lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Sonnen up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Thurman from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Sonnen's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Keith Thurman !
Keith Thurman bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
