Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Rizzo (ranked 5289 p4p, 4288 weight class) and Colin McDudley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDudley is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Devil's Dance Floor. Jake Rizzo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Rizzo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Colin McDudley! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McDudley stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McDudley wants it to stay on the feet. Rizzo jabs at McDudley's body. A left lands for Rizzo.
It looks like Colin McDudley has been cut. Rizzo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McDudley pinned against the cage. McDudley gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. McDudley throws a body punch but Rizzo moves out of range. Rizzo misses the shot to the body. McDudley takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Rizzo takes a swing at McDudley's ribcage but misses. Rizzo wants to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rizzo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McDudley's waist but McDudley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rizzo off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Rizzo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rizzo connects with a crisp jab. Rizzo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McDudley circles away quickly and effectively.

McDudley moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Rizzo dives in and grabs McDudley's left leg, looking for a takedown. McDudley pushes down on Rizzo's head and hops out. McDudley doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Rizzo throws a body shot but no joy. McDudley misses with an uppercut. Rizzo loads up on a big right hand but McDudley slips the punch. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rizzo, as that shot connected.
Jake Rizzo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rizzo misses with a takedown attempt - McDudley sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Rizzo throws a nice looking combination but McDudley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Rizzo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McDudley manages to avoid it.

Great action here. Rizzo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McDudley. Rizzo misses with a straight right. McDudley digs a good hook to Rizzo's body.
Rizzo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McDudley swivels and escapes. McDudley lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. McDudley dips to his left and cracks Rizzo with an uppercut! Rizzo just misses with a punch to the body.
Rizzo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. McDudley scores with a jab to the jaw. Nice defenses there by Rizzo. Colin McDudley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McDudley takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
That has opened up Colin McDudley's cut even more. McDudley misses with an uppercut. Rizzo connects with a single shot there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rizzo looks to score with a jab to the body but McDudley is just out of range. Rizzo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Rizzo ducks under a wild hook from McDudley. McDudley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. McDudley closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
The cut above Colin McDudley's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Rizzo looks to land a left hand but McDudley moved out of range nicely. McDudley looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Rizzo tries for a takedown but McDudley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. McDudley fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rizzo manages to avoid it. A telegraphed right hand from McDudley misses the target. McDudley waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rizzo. Rizzo shoots in and drives through. McDudley sprawls well. Rizzo shoots in for a takedown but McDudley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Rizzo misses with a wild body shot. McDudley just misses with a punch to the body.

Rizzo misses with a right hand and McDudley connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Rizzo drops his hands momentarily and McDudley takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Rizzo misses with a looping left. Nice takedown defense from McDudley. No joy for Rizzo on that attempt. McDudley looks like he wants to counter punch here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rizzo throws a lazy right hand but McDudley sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. McDudley fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rizzo on the side of the head. Rizzo moves out of range of the strikes. Rizzo defending well as McDudley loads up on a big left hand. McDudley swats away the attempt to clinch by Rizzo. Rizzo tries to bum rush McDudley with a series of wild strikes but McDudley uses good footwork to avoid the assault. McDudley throws a hook to the side of Rizzo's head but Rizzo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Rizzo throws a shot to the body.
Rizzo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McDudley manages to avoid it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Colin McDudley will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Colin McDudley's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. A jab from Rizzo does it's job there. Rizzo gets the takedown into side control. Rizzo tries to move to full mount but McDudley actually manages to regain half guard. Rizzo seems to be working for a kimura but McDudley defends the submission attempt. McDudley is trying to stand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McDudley tries to kick Rizzo off in order to stand up. Rizzo Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Rizzo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McDudley is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Rizzo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rizzo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's one minute gone in the round. McDudley gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Rizzo goes for an armbar but he's not got it… McDudley turns into him and now he's in Rizzo's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rizzo working for a triangle but McDudley defends it easily.
Rizzo wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McDudley wants to get up but he can't break Rizzo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Jake Rizzo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rizzo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
McDudley tries to stand but Rizzo is controlling from the bottom. Rizzo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Rizzo pulls McDudley in close to his closed guard and prevents McDudley from doing any damage or advancing position. Rizzo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rizzo is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! McDudley has his hands clasped together but Rizzo extends and breaks McDudley's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Rizzo.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jake Rizzo! A very excited looking Jake Rizzo rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
