The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savelyev drops Barker with a right and a left! Savelyev comes rushing in but Barker regains his composure and manages to keep Savelyev in guard.
It looks like Travis Barker has been cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Barker keeping moving, preventing Savelyev from controlling successfully. Barker wants to get back to his feet but Savelyev is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Savelyev has gone for a leg lock! Barker slips out almost immediately though and dives into Savelyev's guard. Savelyev seems keen to control Barker's posture. Savelyev trying to control the position.
Barker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Savelyev is pulling down on Barker's head. It's preventing any offense from Barker, at least for the moment. Savelyev working for a triangle but Barker defends it easily.
Savelyev wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Savelyev is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Savelyev bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Barker's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barker can't keep his opponent in guard - Savelyev advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Savelyev is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Savelyev tries to pass to full mount but Barker defends it. Barker wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Savelyev performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Savelyev is working for a submission of some sort.
Savelyev looks gassed! Barker works his way to full guard. Good work. Barker looking to control.
Savelyev trying to control but Barker is working from the bottom. Barker is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Savelyev is controlling him. Savelyev forces his way into half guard. Savelyev wants to pass to mount but Barker is defending the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Savelyev is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Savelyev trying to control the action but Barker is working from the bottom. Savelyev passes to side control. Barker is trying to get back to half guard. Savelyev works to advance to full mount. Barker defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Savelyev is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Barker has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Barker! Barker is fighting to break Savelyev's control of his arms but Savelyev is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Barker stands and throws Savelyev's legs to the side, diving into side control. Savelyev manages to work his way to half guard, despite Barker's best efforts. Savelyev is positioning himself well to prevent Barker advancing to mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Savelyev is looking for a sweep. Barker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Barker is trying to control. Savelyev wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Barker prevents Savelyev from improving his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Konstantine Savelyev dominated that round. The cut man is working on Travis Barker's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Savelyev moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Savelyev scores with a three punch combo!
Barker moves forwards but Savelyev connects with a nice, crisp jab. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Savelyev rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Barker moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Danga de danga de dang - Savelyev scores with a four punch combination! A head kick misses from Barker. Barker looks for a takedown but Savelyev sprawls well. Barker takes one on the button. Travis Barker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Savelyev drops Barker with a right and a left! Savelyev comes rushing in but Barker regains his composure and manages to keep Savelyev in guard.
Barker is rocked! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Savelyev is stalling in the full guard. Savelyev stands up from guard. Let's bang! Savelyev lands a jab-cross combination. Barker seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Savelyev shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Barker is backing up but Savelyev catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Barker covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Savelyev Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Konstantine Savelyev!
