Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evert Hermans!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hermans moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Thomas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

David Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Hermans counters with a nice double leg into side control. Thomas won't be happy with that.

You can see the frustration on Thomas's face as Hermans controls the position.
Thomas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hermans on the ground.
Thomas tries to bench press Hermans off him but Hermans keeps the position.
Hermans has hold of Thomas's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Thomas seems comfortable defending it but Hermans has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Thomas is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Thomas is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Hermans couldn't care less - he's delighted!
