Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Orion Rockwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves has chosen i Got a Felling as his entrance music. Thiago Alves is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Orion Rockwell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thiago Alves!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockwell avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rockwell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rockwell looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Rockwell throws a head kick that misses.
Rockwell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alves swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rockwell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Alves is fending him off so far but Rockwell persists. Nope, Alves circles away and we're back to standing.
Alves drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Rockwell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Alves manages to get himself to full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Alves is on top in guard.
Alves throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rockwell works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Rockwell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Alves's guard.
Alves working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rockwell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rockwell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Rockwell trying to stand up but can't free himself from Alves's guard.

Rockwell thows a big elbow that misses.
Alves wants to sweep but no luck.
Rockwell trying to control the position from guard on top but Alves is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rockwell lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Alves looking for a sweep. Not yet Alves, not yet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Rockwell keeps the fight on the outside.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rockwell looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rockwell shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Alves as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Orion Rockwell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Alves tries to clinch but Rockwell moves away
and Rockwell counters with a single leg into guard. Alves didn't expect that.
Alves looks gassed!
Rockwell trying to control the position from guard on top but Alves is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alves has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rockwell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Alves keeping moving, preventing Rockwell from controlling successfully.
Rockwell passes Alves's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Rockwell trying to control the action but Alves is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rockwell seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Alves is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Rockwell stands up and beckons Alves to join him on the feet.
Rockwell lands with an uppercut that bounces Alves off the cage and back into rage.
Alves tries to clinch there but Rockwell circles away.
Thiago Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rockwell tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Alves swivels and escapes.
Rockwell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Alves keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Alves gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Rockwell wants to stall.
Alves can't break the clinch.
Rockwell misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Alves.
Alves throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Rockwell blocks it with crossed arms.
Rockwell lands a knee to the body.
Rockwell lands a body shot in the clinch.
Rockwell blocks an elbow strike from Alves.
Alves looking to throw knees to the head but Rockwell is blocking nicely.
Alves throws a knee to the head but misses.
Rockwell lands with a left to the head.
Rockwell drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Alves prevents the takedown attempt.
Alves tries to land knees in the clinch but Rockwell avoids the damage to the body.
Rockwell wants to break free but Alves has control.
Rockwell is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Alves is keeping busy.
Rockwell manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Orion Rockwell will probably get the nod.
That's time! Rockwell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Rockwell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alves swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Alves circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rockwell fails with the takedown
and Alves holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Alves with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Alves lands an elbow just above Rockwell 's eye.
Alves throws a knee to the head but misses.
Alves displaying some good clinch control by pressing Rockwell up against the cage.
Alves tries to stall but Rockwell uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Rockwell wants to break free but Alves has control.
Rockwell changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Alves fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Rockwell goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Thiago Alves has been cut.
Rockwell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Alves tries to reverse the position but Rockwell maintains control.
Rockwell takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rockwell swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
