Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Cutler (ranked 4472 p4p, 4086 weight class) and Sargent Slaughter (ranked 159 p4p, 149 weight class). Cutler comes to the cage accompanied by Being the Elite. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sargent Slaughter was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brandon Cutler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sargent Slaughter! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Eddie Farnsworth and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cutler defending well as Slaughter loads up on a big left hand. Slaughter has closed the distance and engaged Cutler in a clinch.
Slaughter prevents Cutler from breaking the clinch. Cutler wants to get back to striking at distance but Slaughter won't allow it.
Slaughter looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Cutler has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Cutler is defending well against a takedown attempt. Cutler is fighting off a takedown attempt but Slaughter is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Cutler to the mat. Cutler regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Slaughter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Slaughter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Cutler definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Slaughter scoring with punches to the head and body. Slaughter controlling from the top position. That's one minute gone in the round. Slaughter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slaughter postures up in Cutler's guard and throws a big left but Cutler blocks it. Cutler utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Cutler has momentary wrist control but Slaughter slips an elbow through the middle. Slaughter controlling from the top position. Slaughter scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Slaughter throws a strike but Cutler rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Slaughter seems keen to control Cutler's posture. Slaughter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cutler is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cutler tries to stand but Slaughter is controlling from the bottom. Cutler has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Slaughter pulls Cutler in close to his closed guard and prevents Cutler from doing any damage or advancing position. Cutler preventing the sweep. Cutler wants to stand but Slaughter has a closed guard, so he can't escape. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Slaughter holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Cutler misses with a hook. Cutler misses with a few strikes there.
A looping hook to the body misses from Slaughter. Cutler does a little dance to reset his feet. Sargent Slaughter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cutler misses with an uppercut. Slaughter shoots in and drives through. Cutler sprawls well. Cutler thows a leg kick but Slaughter checks it and Slaughter counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Slaughter. Slaughter scoring with punches to the head and body. Cutler is breathing heavily. Slaughter with a nice head shot there. Slaughter won't allow Cutler to get back to his feet. Slaughter wants to control from the top but Cutler keeps moving. Cutler preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Slaughter postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Slaughter looking to pass the guard. Slaughter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slaughter stands up over Cutler, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Slaughter trying to control but Cutler is working from the bottom. Slaughter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Slaughter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Slaughter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cutler has momentary wrist control but Slaughter slips an elbow through the middle. Slaughter is looking to work some ground and pound but Cutler has wrist control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Slaughter with a flurry of punches that miss. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Slaughter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Sargent Slaughter dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Slaughter throws a hook but Cutler avoids it easily. Slaughter is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cutler. A low kick from Cutler misses and Slaughter counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Slaughter. Slaughter is standing up over Cutler. Cutler looks to escape but Slaughter dives into side control.
Slaughter working the ground and pound from side control. Slaughter has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Slaughter looks up at the clock and then as Cutler takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Slaughter smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Slaughter throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Sloppy strikes there by Slaughter. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slaughter scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Cutler to see if he's OK. Slaughter working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Slaughter lands a nice forearm strike. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Slaughter trying to control the action but Cutler is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slaughter landing a few strikes. Slaughter working the head with strikes. Slaughter scoring with punches from side control. Slaughter is chipping away with strikes.
Cutler is rocked! Slaughter in side control, throwing shots but Cutler defends. Cutler on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cutler tries to get out of the position. Slaughter landing a few strikes. Oh Cutler is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Slaughter lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt Cutler! Slaughter senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put Cutler out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!
