In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 24 wins and 17 losses; Esteban Mondragon! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 6 losses; Bogdan Kersikov!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Kersikov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mondragon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Mondragon drives through and clinches with Kersikov against the cage.
Mondragon gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kersikov.
Mondragon is pressed up against the cage. Kersikov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mondragon down to the mat. Mondragon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Esteban Mondragon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bogdan Kersikov.

Mondragon forces Kersikov back against the cage and clinches.
I was talking to Mondragon's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mondragon tries to lock up and control but Kersikov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Mondragon reaches up to try and control the position but Kersikov seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Mondragon rolls and tries to escape and now Kersikov has his back!

Mondragon manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kersikov's guard. Nice work there by Mondragon.

Kersikov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Mondragon is looking to improve his position but Kersikov isn't that keen on the idea.
