Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Robertson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Je Ha Kim!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim moves away from the strike by Robertson.
Robertson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kim's head.
Robertson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kim counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Robertson moves into the clinch.
The referee calls for Kim to work.
Kim is trying to maintain a safe position but Robertson gets an underhook and turns Kim into the cage.
Robertson blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Robertson stalling in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kim softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.

Kim tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Robertson's elbow.

Robertson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kim clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Robertson gets his hands free as Kim looks to control.

Robertson throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.
Kim is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Even with his hooks in, Robertson manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Robertson tries to keep control of the position but Kim is staying busy.
You can see the frustration on Kim's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Kim really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Robertson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Robertson wants to control but Kim is keeping busy.

Robertson seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Kim has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Robertson.
Robertson thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Kim trying to get back to his feet but Robertson is in full control for now.
Robertson is landing with strikes from the back.
Robertson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Robertson lands strikes to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kim is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Kim tries to roll but Robertson sticks to his back.
Robertson lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Robertson.
Robertson is trying to stick to Kim's back but Kim is turning into Robertson. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Robertson's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kim.

Kim wants to control from the top but Robertson keeps moving.
Kim is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Robertson is on top in guard.

Kim is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Let's hope that Kim has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Robertson wants to pass the guard but Kim is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kim is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Robertson trying to control the position from guard on top but Kim is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kim looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Kim pulls Robertson in close to prevent any damage.
Robertson passes Kim's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Robertson wants to pass to mount but Kim is defending the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Robertson dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

and Kim cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Robertson shoots in looking for a takedown but Kim manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Robertson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Robertson closes the distance but Kim moves to the side
and Kim counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Robertson fails with the takedown
and Kim counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Robertson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Robertson shoots and misses
and Kim counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Oh Robertson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kim weaves into range and cracks Robertson right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Robertson goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Kim is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Je Ha Kim!
Je Ha Kim decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
