Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kotaro Asakura (ranked 2638 p4p, 2557 weight class) and Primo Runduski (ranked 164 p4p, 158 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kotaro Asakura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Primo Runduski!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asakura misses with a low kick.
Asakura lets loose with a powerful body kick. Runduski will feel that in the morning.
Asakura is looking to land body kicks.
Runduski doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Asakura uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Runduski.
Runduski lands a body shot.
Asakura throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Runduski counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Good work by Asakura as he checks the leg kick.
Kotaro Asakura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Asakura moves in looking to clinch but Runduski pushes him off.
Runduski stuns Asakura with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Runduski throws a jab but it's blocked by Asakura.
Runduski moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

It looks like Kotaro Asakura has been cut.
Asakura tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Runduski manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Asakura thuds his shin into the meat of Runduski's side.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Asakura gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Asakura has Runduski pressed against the cage, preventing Runduski from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Our sources have told us that Asakura has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Asakura tries to throw a body punch but Runduski avoids it by throwing Asakura back against the cage.

Runduski struggles to land a body shot inside as Asakura controls his hands.
Asakura throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Asakura pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Asakura doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Asakura comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Asakura lands an elbow just above Runduski 's eye.
Runduski lands a left hand that snaps the head of Asakura backwards.
Runduski working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Runduski swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Asakura lands an elbow that stopped Runduski in his tracks for a moment.

Asakura pushes off an throws an elbow but Runduski leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Runduski manages to break the clinch.

Asakura throws a lazy body kick
and Runduski counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Asakura throws a leg kick
and Runduski counters with a crisp right that sends Asakura to the canvas! Runduski follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Primo Runduski!
