PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Logan Howlett (ranked 2486 p4p, 3000 weight class) and Yildil Od Harad (ranked 323 p4p, 390 weight class). Yildil Od Harad told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Logan Howlett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Yildil Od Harad!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howlett scores with a sloppy right hand. Od Harad should have avoided that one.
Howlett swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Od Harad.
A looping hook to the body misses from Howlett. Od Harad does a little dance to reset his feet.
Od Harad changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
A punch lands to the side of Od Harad 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Horrible takedown attempt by Od Harad or perhaps it was just good defense by Howlett, which made it look bad.

Od Harad has Howlett up against the cage in a clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Howlett.
Howlett pushes Od Harad back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Od Harad is trying to pull guard but Howlett has him pressed against the cage.
Od Harad throws a punch but it's blocked by Howlett.
Od Harad tries a body shot but Howlett blocks it.
Howlett lands a shoulder strike.
Od Harad has Howlett pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Howlett manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Logan Howlett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yildil Od Harad.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Howlett wanted to stand there but Od Harad had control of the position.
Howlett has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Howlett trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Od Harad has his foot on Howlett's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Howlett works his way back into a safe position though.

Oh but Od Harad is tightening it up a little... Howlett has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Howlett reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Howlett taps out! Nice BJJ there by Od Harad!
