Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Walton (ranked 25446 p4p, 25449 weight class) and Stephen Hawking (ranked 728 p4p, 718 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tim Walton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stephen Hawking! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawking is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Walton. Hawking with a jab. Walton has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Hawking avoids a kick to the body.
Walton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hawking is fending him off so far but Walton persists. Nope, Hawking circles away and we're back to standing. Walton tries for a takedown but Hawking sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Walton scores with a one two! Hawking had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Walton uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hawking. Jab, jab by Hawking - just one landing. A slow jab from Hawking misses its intended target. Hawking connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Hawking checks a leg kick. Walton displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hawking throws out the jab. Walton shoots in looking for a takedown but Hawking manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Walton's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Walton. That's going to take a lot out of him. This has been an exciting period of action! Walton tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Hawking counters with a nice body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walton on the wrong end of a nice hook. Hawking throws a body punch but Walton moves out of range. Walton has his takedown stuffed and Hawking counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Tim Walton has been cut. Walton moves out of range as Hawking strikes. Hawking swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hawking stuffs the takedown attempt from Walton. Walton gets slowly back to his feet. Hawking swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Hawking throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Hawking misses with a looping right. Walton blocks a jab. Walton ducks under a wild hook from Hawking. Walton fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Walton is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hawking sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hawking swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hawking, as that shot connected.
Walton tries to clinch but Hawking moves out of range. Hawking throws a hook but Walton avoids it easily. Walton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hawking is fending him off so far but Walton persists. Nope, Hawking circles away and we're back to standing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Walton ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Walton slips a jab from Hawking. Hawking fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Walton manages to avoid it. Hawking digs a good body shot into Walton's ribs. Walton shoots for a double leg takedown but Hawking sprawls well. He's pushed Walton's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hawking looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Hawking has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Hawking throws a hook to the side of Walton's head but Walton sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walton staying out of range there. Walton is looking to counter the offense by Hawking and move into the clinch. Walton shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hawking counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Walton gets a clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Hawking pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hawking misses with an uppercut. Walton saw that one coming. Walton ducks right into an uppercut from Hawking. Hawking cracks Walton on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Walton falls backwards against the cage. Hawking follows up with more strikes that drop Walton to his knees. Hawking keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Walton! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stephen Hawking! Stephen Hawking seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
