Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Keklu Kavala!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Keith Lee!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kavala shoots for a double leg takedown but Lee sprawls well. He's pushed Kavala's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kavala tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lee sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kavala somewhat.
Lee feints the counter takedown.
Lee uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kavala.
We've been informed that Lee has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Lee looks for a takedown but Kavala sprawls well.
Keith Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
As Lee looks to move away, Kavala throws a big counter combo but Lee just gets out of the way.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looked like Kavala was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Lee.
Lee dives in for a single leg takedown but Kavala sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Kavala throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kavala slaps away a takedown attempt from Lee, before circling back to the center of the mat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kavala is trying to control the action in half guard but Lee is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Lee tries to kick Kavala off but Kavala keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Lee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kavala. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kavala lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Kavala prevents Lee from standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee is looking to improve his position.
Kavala is nestled in close to Lee, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Lee tries to roll over but Kavala keeps him under control.
Lee is not content to let Kavala control the position.
Kavala is thwarting Lee's attempts to control the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lee wants to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lee looks to land a combination but Kavala avoids it well.
Kavala was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

and Kavala counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lee won't be happy with that.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Kavala is working Lee over with some ground and pound from side control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Kavala shoots in for a takedown but Lee shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lee goes for a double leg but Kavala avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kavala continues to drive forward.
Kavala misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kavala. Lee does a little dance to reset his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lee is defended easily by Kavala.

Lee throws a right hand that Kavala ducks under and follows up with a left that Kavala also avoids with ease.

Lee gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Lee drags the fight down to the ground.

Kavala stands up over Lee, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Kavala not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Lee is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Kavala is in close to Lee's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Kavala content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Keklu Kavala overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kavala is working Lee over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Kavala keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lee's head.
Lee not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Kavala postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Lee is rocked!
Kavala gets to his feet and stands over Lee, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Lee felt that one! Kavala unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Lee from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Keklu Kavala!
