Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eddie Brock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Max Watson!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Watson connects with a body shot.
Brock misses with a jab, cross combination.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Watson! But no joy.
Watson looks to land a right hand but Brock moved out of range.
Brock ducks right into an uppercut from Watson.
The fighters circle momentarily. Watson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Brock jabs Watson to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Watson slaps away a takedown attempt from Brock, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Watson misses with a straight left.
Watson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Brock swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Brock swings for the body but Watson moves out of range.

Brock is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Watson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Brock closes the distance looking to clinch
and Watson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Watson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Brock looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Watson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Brock's head backwards.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Watson can do anything to dispel that myth.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brock accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brock postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Brock takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Brock scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Watson throws a hook to the side of Brock's head but Brock sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
It looked like Brock wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Brock closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Watson did well to prevent Brock getting side control.

Brock can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Watson is looking to escape.

Watson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
