Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jean Cristopher La Vellei (ranked 2110 p4p, 1724 weight class) and Toran Roth (ranked 304 p4p, 260 weight class). Roth has chosen Dogodine u Prizrenu as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Cristopher La Vellei! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Toran Roth! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roth misses with a double jab.
La Vellei fails with the takedown. A big right from La Vellei misses. La Vellei thows a left - swing and a miss! La Vellei lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. La Vellei bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Roth uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from La Vellei. Roth stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from La Vellei. Roth shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches La Vellei napping and manages to drive through into side control! Roth working away. Roth is staying tight to La Vellei's torso, preventing him from escaping. La Vellei is trying to buck Roth off. La Vellei is trying to control Roth's posture but Roth avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. La Vellei manages to get back to half guard. La Vellei tries to get to full guard but Roth has control of the leg. Roth is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Roth passes into side control, despite La Vellei's attempt to control the position.
La Vellei is not content to let Roth control the position. Roth moves into full mount!

Roth wants to stand but La Vellei is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
La Vellei is trying desperately to improve position. Roth can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as La Vellei is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. La Vellei tries to get back to half guard but can't. La Vellei regains half guard. La Vellei is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Roth works his way into side control. La Vellei tries to buck Roth off but Roth is having none of it. Roth moves into full mount! La Vellei can't escape the position.

Toran Roth dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Roth slips a jab from La Vellei. Roth looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Roth fails in his attempt to clinch. La Vellei takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
La Vellei bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Roth's head. La Vellei looks for a takedown but Roth sprawls well. La Vellei with a nice cross. A head kick misses from Roth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roth misses with a head kick.
La Vellei lands a two punch combo.
La Vellei fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Roth avoids it really well and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roth swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jean Cristopher La Vellei is winning the standup battle so far. La Vellei connects with a looping right hand.
La Vellei throws a body punch but Roth moves out of range. Roth wants to counter with a clinch but La Vellei pushes him away. Roth looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. La Vellei bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roth wants to get back to his feet. La Vellei decides to stand back up. La Vellei misses with a right hand and Roth moves into the clinch. La Vellei breaks the clinch.
La Vellei throws a lazy right hand but Roth sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. La Vellei misses with a straight right.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Roth. No joy for La Vellei on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Cristopher La Vellei. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Roth ducks under a wild hook from La Vellei. La Vellei sets himself, and Roth steps forward looking for the clinch! La Vellei avoids it this time. Roth swinging wildly here.
Roth with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling La Vellei to score with a decent uppercut. Roth lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. A punch combination from Roth misses. Roth lands a head kick!
La Vellei really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. La Vellei lands with an overhand left. La Vellei throws a front kick that sends Roth stumbling back into the cage. La Vellei throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Roth was covering up waiting for the punch and La Vellei finishes the takedown easily into guard. La Vellei won't allow Roth to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. La Vellei stands up and waves to Roth to follow him. Roth tests La Vellei's chin there with a solid looking shot. La Vellei is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Roth fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jean Cristopher La Vellei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roth moves out of range as La Vellei throws a body kick.
Roth wants to clinch but La Vellei slips to the side and La Vellei counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. La Vellei throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Roth. La Vellei buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Roth wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Roth blocks a head kick by La Vellei.
La Vellei shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Roth's guard. La Vellei will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Roth trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
That's four minutes gone in the round. La Vellei postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. La Vellei has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. La Vellei stops Roth from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Roth working a defensive guard here.
La Vellei stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roth swivels though and keeps the full guard. Roth is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and La Vellei defends well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. La Vellei throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. La Vellei landing with the ground and pound. La Vellei makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. La Vellei chips away with some ground and pound. La Vellei gets to his feet - Roth follows without any prompting. La Vellei darts in looking for a takedown but Roth gets double underhooks and turns La Vellei into the cage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! La Vellei throws a wild combination but nothing lands. La Vellei lands with an overhand left. Roth gets caught napping as La Vellei dives in and scores a takedown. Roth manages to retain guard. La Vellei prevents Roth from getting back to his feet. Toran Roth has got the better of the ground game so far. La Vellei postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Roth lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Roth got a little sloppy there for a moment and La Vellei has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Roth has managed to get both his arms back between La Vellei's legs - danger averted. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. La Vellei is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Roth defends well. La Vellei is working an open guard so Roth takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Roth then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. La Vellei slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. A leg kick checked by Roth. Roth shoots in for a takedown but La Vellei shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Roth throws a right and a left that both miss. La Vellei looks to land a right hand but Roth moved out of range. Roth is looking for the big counter here. La Vellei jabs Roth right on the nose. Roth blinks but takes it well. Roth avoids the head kick by La Vellei.

La Vellei tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Roth throws a nice looking combination but La Vellei bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. La Vellei closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Roth quickly recovers to half guard. Roth looking for submissions off his back. Roth trying to control but La Vellei postures up.
La Vellei is trying for a kimura here. Roth looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! La Vellei wins by kimura!
