Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boom Bong (ranked 4656 p4p, 4575 weight class) and Jan Montais (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boom Bong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jan Montais! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bong shoots in and bounces Montais off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Bong makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Bong thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Bong scoring with some ground and pound. Bong lands a couple of decent looking shots. Montais keeping moving, preventing Bong from controlling successfully. Montais really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Montais wants to sweep but no luck. Montais can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bong controls the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Montais wants to stand up but Bong is controlling him. Bong wanted to stand there but Montais had control of the position. Montais tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bong content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Bong with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Montais looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bong slips a nice elbow through Montais's hands, connecting with Montais's forehead. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bong lands a nice short elbow. Bong looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Bong looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Montais with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Bong keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Montais tries to get to full guard but Bong has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bong scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Montais trying to control from the bottom.
Bong is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Bong seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Bong is figuring out what he wants to do next. Bong working the head and body with strikes. Montais is trying to control but can't.
Bong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Montais is looking for a sweep. Bong is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bong in particular looking to stall. Montais is trying to control but can't.
Bong scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Montais has one foot on Bong's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Bong shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Montais as he jumps to the side. Bong is breathing heavily. Bong takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Montais shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Montais shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bong's guard. Montais trying to control the position from guard on top but Bong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Montais pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bong is keeping the position for now. Montais looking to sit in guard and control but Bong gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bong landing with the ground and pound. Bong's corner is telling him to maintain position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Boom Bong dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Montais shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Montais was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Bong struggling a bit here. Montais stands up. Montais closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bong did well to prevent Montais getting side control. Montais is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Bong as he works his way to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bong is wriggling around but Montais manages to pass to half guard.
Bong is trying to stand up here but Montais is controlling him well. Bong is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Montais stands up out of the half guard. Bong fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Montais avoids it really well and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Montais drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Bong keeping moving, preventing Montais from controlling successfully. Montais looking to sit in guard and control but Bong gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Montais is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Montais manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Bong can't get the takedown.
Montais breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Montais gets a takedown into half guard. Bong tries to get to full guard but Montais has control of the leg. Boom Bong overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Montais is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bong defends it well. Montais content to control rather than advance. Montais wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bong keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Montais stands up out of the half guard. Montais scores with a three punch combo!
Bong tries to keep at a distance but Montais has taken the fight into the clinch. Montais pulls guard effortlessly. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bong wants to control from the top but Montais keeps moving. Montais had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bong defends it easily. Bong postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jan Montais showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! Montais lands a nice shot to the body.
Boom Bong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bong darts in looking for a takedown but Montais gets double underhooks and turns Bong into the cage. Montais tries to counter with a clinch but Bong shakes him off and moves away. Montais pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Montais dives in and grabs Bong's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bong pushes down on Montais's head and hops out. Montais shoots in and drives through. Bong sprawls well. Montais leaves Bong with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Bong closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bong lands in his opponent's guard. Bong is standing up over Montais. Montais looks to escape but Bong dives into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Montais tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bong lands a few punches from side control. You can see the frustration on Montais's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bong looks up at the clock and then as Montais takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bong smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Montais pushes Bong off looking to stand but Bong dives back in and keeps control.
Bong prevents Montais from improving his position. Bong slips a nice elbow through Montais's hands, connecting with Montais's forehead. Bong is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Montais is trying to get back to full guard. Bong is looking to take a break and control but Montais is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Montais actively working from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bong scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Montais tries to roll over but Bong keeps him under control. Montais looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Bong content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Bong prevents Montais from improving his position. Montais is trying to stand back up but Bong is controlling him
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bong landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Bong working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Nice strikes from Bong there. Montais is trying to stand back up but Bong is controlling him

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Montais decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Bong manages to escape and get back to his feet!
And that's the end of the fight! Boom Bong showed his dominance in that final round. I think Bong has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
