Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Harley Bird (ranked 6346 p4p, 5516 weight class) and Lease Beast (ranked 632 p4p, 588 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Harley Bird!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lease Beast!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beast moves out of range as Bird throws a body kick.
It seemed like Beast was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Beast scores with a jab to the jaw.
It looks like Harley Bird has been cut.
Beast stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Bird takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Beast jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Bird misses with a kick to the body.
Bird walks into a stiff left hand from Beast.
Bird shoots for a takedown but Beast saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bird fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Beast on the side of the head.
Bird is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Harley Bird's cut is getting worse.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bird keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A counter left hand to the body from Bird misses its target.
Bird walks straight into a right hand from Beast - that's dropped him! Beast jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Bird from any more punishment! Bird complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Lease Beast!
