Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Tidd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tidd closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Tidd is taking a breather. Xxx says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Tidd is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Tidd uses his free foot to push down on Xxx's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Xxx.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Xxx is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Tidd locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Xxx is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Joe Tidd!
