Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Tremble (ranked 4969 p4p, 4887 weight class) and Evert Hermans (ranked 0 p4p, 167 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Evert Hermans was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chris Tremble! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Evert Hermans! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hermans instigates a clinch. Hermans gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Tremble has momentary wrist control but Hermans slips an elbow through the middle. Hermans postures up in Tremble's guard and throws a big left but Tremble blocks it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tremble has a closed guard, preventing Hermans from standing up. Tremble is trying to keep Hermans in close.
Hermans landing with the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hermans controlling from the top position. Hermans stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tremble swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hermans really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tremble. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hermans wants to get up but he can't break Tremble's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Hermans trying to control the position from guard on top but Tremble is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tremble is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hermans prevents Tremble from getting back to his feet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Nice takedown defense from Hermans. No joy for Tremble on that attempt. Tremble shoots in and drives through. Hermans sprawls well. Hermans looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Tremble fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Tremble. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hermans lands an overhand right. Hermans closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tremble did well to prevent Hermans getting side control. Hermans working Tremble over with strikes.
Tremble is rocked! Hermans is looking for a kimura here.
Oh Tremble is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Hermans lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Tremble! More strikes land and this one is all over! Hermans jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Evert Hermans!
