Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heitor Machado (ranked 2255 p4p, 1205 weight class) and Msujfnaud Mspomfad (ranked 73 p4p, 34 weight class). Heitor Machado has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Msujfnaud Mspomfad!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machado moves into the clinch.
Mspomfad is trying to push Machado away but Machado has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Machado takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Machado's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Mspomfad is trying to drag Machado to the mat but Machado just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Machado seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Machado drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Machado jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Mspomfad tries to lock up and control but Machado gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Mspomfad tries to reverse the position but Machado maintains control.
Mspomfad felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Mspomfad shoots in for a takedown but Machado shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Machado shoots in but Mspomfad avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mspomfad drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Machado defends it well.
Mspomfad takes a swing at Machado's ribcage but misses.
No joy there for Machado, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Mspomfad closes the distance and pushes Machado back into the cage.

Machado pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Machado shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mspomfad eats them both and turns towards Machado to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Mspomfad tries to throw a body punch but Machado avoids it by throwing Mspomfad back against the cage.

Mspomfad tries to pull guard but Machado holds him up against the cage and eventually Mspomfad drops back down to his feet.

Machado is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mspomfad to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mspomfad shrugs it off.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Machado is landing with some decent strikes but Mspomfad is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Machado has control of Mspomfad's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mspomfad regains control of the situation pretty easily.
