Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Damian Drago (ranked 5898 p4p, 5818 weight class) and Thomas Martins (ranked 466 p4p, 461 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Martins's choice of entrance music: Kwabs - Walk. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Damian Drago! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thomas Martins! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martins swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Drago definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Martins doesn't manage to clinch there - Drago circles away.
Martins just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromDrago. Martins tries to clinch there but Drago circles away.
Drago swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Martins throws a right hand that Drago ducks under and follows up with a left that Drago also avoids with ease. Martins has closed the distance and engaged Drago in a clinch.
Martins softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Martins lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Drago takes an elbow to the temple. Martins lands an elbow inside. Martins lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Martins throws an elbow that misses.
Martins is pressed up against the cage. Drago has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Martins down to the mat. Martins avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Thomas Martins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight stays on the outside here - Martins looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's one minute gone in the round. A momentary lapse in concentration from Martins enables Drago to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Martins manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Drago drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Martins manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Drago has Martins in his guard.
Martins is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Drago has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Martins is looking to defend but Drago has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Martins! Drago pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Martins taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Damian Drago!
