Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Frost (ranked 2619 p4p, 6671 weight class) and Rayan Halli (ranked 270 p4p, 498 weight class). Rayan Halli will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Frost! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rayan Halli! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Halli slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Halli misses the body punch and Frost decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Halli's guard. Frost sitting in guard, not really doing much. Frost definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Halli has his foot on Frost's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Frost works his way back into a safe position though. Frost sitting in guard here, content to control. Frost has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Frost advances position into side control! Halli manages to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frost is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Frost looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Halli tries to reverse the position but Frost maintains control. Frost sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Halli tries to improve his position but instead Frost has taken his back! Frost controls the position. Frost tightening his grip on Halli, looking for the choke. Frost is hanging on to Halli's back as he tries to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Good control from Frost. Halli just trying to survive but Frost is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Frost looking to break Halli's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Halli remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Frost will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Frost is trying to stick to Halli's back but Halli is turning into Frost. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Frost's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Halli. Halli sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Frost's guard. Frost is in trouble now - Halli has advanced to mount! Halli wants to take Frost's back but he can't do it this time. Frost might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Frost tries to hold on but Halli pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Frost is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Halli is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Frost reaches up to try and control the position but Halli seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Frost rolls and tries to escape and now Halli has his back!
Frost manages to reverse the position and now he's in Halli's guard. Nice work there by Frost.
Frost passes Halli's left leg - he's now in half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Halli has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Frost is working away from the top position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Halli wants to get back to full guard but Frost has mounted him! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Frost dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Nice takedown defense from Frost. No joy for Halli on that attempt. Halli misses with a looping left. Halli lands an overhand right. Frost misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Halli.
Halli shoots and misses and Frost decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Halli's guard. Frost passes Halli's left leg - he's now in half guard. Halli is in trouble now - Frost has advanced to mount! Frost can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Halli is looking to escape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frost looking to secure an arm triangle but Halli defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Halli tries to hold on but Frost postures up. Halli is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Frost is staying active. Halli manages to regain half guard. Good work. Frost is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Halli can do to turn this around? Frost stalling. Frost seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Halli does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Frost takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Daniel Frost overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Halli is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Frost pulls his head out easily. Frost trying to control the pace. Frost is working for a kimura but Halli is defending it quite comfortably.
Halli wants to control but Frost is keeping busy and won't allow it. Frost is looking to take a break and control but Halli is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Frost shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Frost was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Halli manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Frost slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Halli wants to control from the top but Frost keeps moving. Halli avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Frost is pulling down on Halli's head to control his posture. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Halli got a little sloppy there for a moment and Frost has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Halli has managed to get both his arms back between Frost's legs - danger averted. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Frost dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Frost throws a hook but Halli blocks it. A big right from Frost misses. Halli looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Frost displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Halli throws out the jab. Frost drops down looking for a counter takedown but Halli sprawls and moves away. Halli has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Frost is landing a low percentage of strikes. A leg kick checked by Frost. Halli defending well as Frost loads up on a big left hand. Halli feints the counter takedown. Halli misses with a double jab.

Frost passes to side control. Frost working away. Frost tries to advance to mount but can't. Frost in side control, just content to control the action for now. Frost wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Halli, who protects the arm well. Rayan Halli has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Daniel Frost is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Halli can't do much from the bottom here. Halli is looking to reverse the position. Halli prevents Frost from moving into mount. Frost controls the position. Halli is trying to improve his position. Halli can't do much from the bottom here. Frost moves to the back. Frost controlling well, preventing Halli from escaping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Halli is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

And that's the end of the fight! Daniel Frost showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Frost, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
