The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCoy takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Thibodeaux needs to keep his hands up - McCoy had a free shot at his head there.
We've been hearing reports that McCoy has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Thibodeaux wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Thibodeaux throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Thibodeaux thows a left - swing and a miss!
McCoy was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
McCoy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A big left from Thibodeaux misses.
Thibodeaux swings away with a body shot that misses
and McCoy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Thibodeaux is rocked!
McCoy ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Thibodeaux's jaw. Thibodeaux's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! McCoy does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gillechriosd McCoy!
Gillechriosd McCoy decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
