Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tj Pen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chad Yonic!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pen with a lazy takedown attempt
and Yonic counters with a nice body kick.
Yonic tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Pen counters with a shoot takedown. Yonic fights it but they end up in guard.
Pen stands up over Yonic, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Pen postures up.
Pen lands a couple of digs.
Yonic looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pen is one step ahead there.
Pen engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Pen stands up over Yonic, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Yonic wants to get back to his feet but Pen is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Yonic has his foot on Pen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pen works his way back into a safe position though.
Pen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Yonic's head.

Yonic throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pen counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Yonic is looking to control Pen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Yonic avoid being mounted?
Pen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Pen working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Pen uses his free foot to push down on Yonic's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Yonic.
Pen lands a big shot there that rocks Yonic but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Yonic is in a horrible position here. Pen smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Yonic is still in real trouble! Can Pen finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Pen! Yonic is hurt baaadly! Pen is firing away with more strikes - Yonic is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
