The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lait misses with a takedown attempt - Anstey sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Anstey changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Lait shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Anstey cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Anstey circles away from the clinch attempt

and Anstey counters with a single leg into guard. Lait didn't expect that.
Anstey stays in close to Lait's body and controls the position.
Anstey keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lait's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lait can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lait has momentary wrist control but Anstey slips an elbow through the middle.

Anstey loads up on a big left hand. Lait felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Anstey looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Lait can't hide his disappointment, as Anstey celebrates the victory.
