The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Karl Karjalainen has been cut.
Patterson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Karjalainen moves into the clinch successfully.
Patterson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Patterson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Karjalainen prevents it.
Karjalainen throws a punch but it's blocked by Patterson.
Karjalainen throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Pattersons head.
Karjalainen managing to block the knees to the body from Patterson.
Patterson struggles to land a body shot inside as Karjalainen controls his hands.
Patterson can't find room to land a body shot as Karjalainen controls the action.
Patterson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Patterson tries for a takedown but Karjalainen manages to get underhooks.
Patterson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Karjalainen walks away with a smile on his face. Patterson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jerricho Patterson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Karjalainen lands a left and a right that send Patterson crashing to the mat, dazed. Karjalainen thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Jerricho Patterson has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Patterson misses with a head kick.
Karjalainen now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Karjalainen measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Patterson! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!

A less than humble Karl Karjalainen misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
