Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Compare (ranked 4364 p4p, 2939 weight class) and Vadim Finkelstein (ranked 556 p4p, 394 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and David Hoff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finkelstein moves out of range of the strikes.

Finkelstein dives in and scores a takedown into Compare's guard.
Finkelstein distracts Compare with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Compare wants to stand up but Finkelstein is controlling him.
Finkelstein is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Finkelstein loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Compare has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Finkelstein is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Finkelstein trying to control the position but instead, Compare has worked for underhooks and has pushed Finkelstein into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Compare breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Finkelstein uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Compare rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Finkelstein moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Finkelstein scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Compare has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Finkelstein is on him like a limpet, forcing Compare back against the cage.

Compare pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Finkelstein lands a left and a right that send Compare crashing to the mat, dazed. Finkelstein thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Compare is rocked!

It looks like Carlos Compare has been cut.
Compare definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Finkelstein measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Compare! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
