Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andre King (ranked 2830 p4p, 2912 weight class) and Barkeep Quark (ranked 386 p4p, 399 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andre King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Barkeep Quark!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quark shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Quark showed some decent athleticism there.
Quark keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Quark prevents King from improving his position.
Quark winds up and cracks King with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are battling for position here. King manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Quark preventing the sweep.
Quark trying to control but King is working from the bottom.
King wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Quark trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

King is not content to let Quark control the position.

Quark is trying to control the action in half guard but King is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Quark is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, King has managed to free his arm - good work.

King is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Quark's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Quark's back!
King misses with a punch to the head.
Quark tries to escape but King has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
King doesn't have the hooks in and Quark manages to turn into his guard.
Quark chips away with some ground and pound.
We've been informed that Quark has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now King is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

King is looking to work some ground and pound but Quark has wrist control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
King stands up over Quark, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Quark looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but King puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Barkeep Quark dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

King is looking to clinch but Quark is avoiding it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Quark.
King fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Quark is out of range.
Quark steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from King.
Barkeep Quark is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Quark goes for a double leg but King avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as King continues to drive forward.

King lands a lovely overhand right.
Quark looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? King is fending him off so far but Quark persists. Nope, King circles away and we're back to standing.
Andre King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barkeep Quark.
Quark shoots for a double leg takedown but King sprawls well. He's pushed Quark's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Quark swats away the attempt to clinch by King.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from King.

Quark shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as King sprawls well. King wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Quark gets slowly back to his feet.

Quark moves out of range of the body kick from King.
King feints and then cracks Quark's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Quark down.

Quark shoots in but no luck this time.
Quark shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has King pinned against the cage. King gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've been told by King's head coaches at Hollywood Superstar MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

so Quark counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
King has control of Quark's left arm, preventing Quark from doing any damage.

King is fighting to break Quark's control of his arms but Quark is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

King tries to close the distance and clinch but Quark swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

King leaves Quark with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

King clobbers Quark with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Quark closes this distance looking for a takedown but King circles away.
Quark tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but King defends well and Quark ends up having to push King into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
King keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
King jabs Quark right on the nose. Quark blinks but takes it well.
Quark throws a left and a right that both miss
and King cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Quark takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
King is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Quark can do to turn this around?

and King finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Quark takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
A nice leg kick lands there from King.
No luck for Quark with that takedown attempt.

King lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

King throws a chopping leg kick but Quark manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Quark closes this distance looking for a takedown but King circles away.
Barkeep Quark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Quark throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. King tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Quark is in King's guard.
Quark won't allow King to sweep him here.
King is pulling down on Quark's head to control his posture.
King will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
King wants to sweep but no luck.
King looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

King had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Quark defends it easily.
King controls Quark momentarily but Quark frees himself.

And that's the end of the fight!
Andre King showed his dominance in that final round.
