Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kodiyak Redd (ranked 3385 p4p, 2829 weight class) and Julian McGavin (ranked 205 p4p, 175 weight class). McGavin has chosen Jersey Shore intro song as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kodiyak Redd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Julian McGavin! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Redd stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Redd wants it to stay on the feet. Redd tries to counter with a takedown but McGavin is quick to defend against it. McGavin swinging wildly here.
McGavin shoots in looking for a takedown. Redd tries to sprawl out of it but McGavin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Redd manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Redd displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McGavin. Kodiyak Redd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julian McGavin. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Redd is defended easily by McGavin. McGavin shoots in looking for a takedown. Redd tries to sprawl out of it but McGavin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Redd manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redd fails with a takedown attempt. McGavin changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Redd closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. McGavin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Redd. Redd trying to pass the guard but McGavin defending well. McGavin is trying to stand up here but Redd is controlling him well. Redd seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Redd not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Redd looks to score some points with some ground and pound. McGavin is trying to stand.
Redd missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Redd throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Redd stops McGavin from getting back to his feet.
Redd tries to pass to full mount but McGavin defends it. Redd thows a huge punch but McGavin dodges it nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Redd working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. McGavin is not content to let Redd control the position. Redd sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McGavin defending well though. Redd is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Redd has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Redd throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing McGavin to regain full guard. McGavin wants to stand and escape but Redd is having none of it. Redd trying to control but McGavin is working from the bottom. McGavin looking to control but Redd passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Redd works his way into full mount! McGavin wants to hold on but Redd pushes him away. McGavin defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Redd. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. McGavin tries to lock up and control but Redd gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! McGavin really wants to buck Redd off and get back to his feet. McGavin keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Redd with shots to the head and body - McGavin looks very uncomfortable down there. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kodiyak Redd dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Redd has his takedown stuffed and McGavin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. McGavin stalling away here and it's allowed Redd to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. McGavin stopping the sweep attempt from Redd. Kodiyak Redd overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. McGavin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Redd throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
McGavin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McGavin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Redd swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Redd is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Redd passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. McGavin working to try and regain half guard.
Redd goes for an armbar but McGavin turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from McGavin. Redd wants to sweep here but McGavin controlling him for the moment. McGavin drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Redd dives on top into guard. Redd is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Redd trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. McGavin is trying to keep Redd in close.
McGavin is pulling down on Redd's head. It's preventing any offense from Redd, at least for the moment. Redd forces his way into half guard. McGavin is in trouble now - Redd has advanced to mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Redd lands a nice shot to the head. McGavin wants to hold on but Redd pushes him away. Redd in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Redd is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But McGavin has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from McGavin! Redd is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Redd has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. McGavin trying to control the position from guard on top but Redd is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Redd looking for a sweep. Not yet Redd, not yet. McGavin passes into half guard. McGavin seems to be working for a kimura but Redd defends the submission attempt. Redd moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Redd throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kodiyak Redd dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! McGavin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Redd is fending him off so far but McGavin persists. Nope, Redd circles away and we're back to standing. McGavin shoots in looking for a takedown but Redd manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McGavin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Redd goes for a double leg but McGavin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McGavin continues to drive forward. McGavin throws a counter combo. McGavin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. McGavin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. McGavin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McGavin wants it to stay on the feet. McGavin is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McGavin shoots in for a double leg but Redd sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kodiyak Redd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julian McGavin. No luck with that takedown attempt from McGavin. Redd is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McGavin can do to turn this around?

McGavin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Redd swivels and escapes. Redd changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Redd tries for a takedown but McGavin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Redd closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. McGavin did well to prevent Redd getting side control. McGavin wants to improve his position but Redd is controlling well.

McGavin is trying to get back to his feet but can't. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Redd cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McGavin is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. McGavin wants to try and get back to his feet. Redd putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! McGavin wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Redd has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! McGavin taps furiously! This one is all over!
