Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellison shoots for a double leg takedown but Kimura sprawls well. He's pushed Ellison's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ellison throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kimura's waist but Kimura gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ellison off to one side.
Ellison closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ellison lands in his opponent's guard.

Ellison wanted to stand there but Kimura had control of the position.
Kimura is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kimura had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ellison is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kimura Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ellison's back instead.
Kimura keeps control of the position as Ellison tries to break free.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kimura is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Ellison shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kimura as he avoids it easily.

Kimura keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kimura should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Ellison looks for a takedown but Kimura sprawls well.
Ellison shoots in and bounces Kimura off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Kimura has his foot on Ellison's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ellison works his way back into a safe position though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kimura is trying to control Ellison's posture but Ellison avoids it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Ellison closes the distance and clinches up with Kimura, looking for a takedown. Ellison pushes Kimura against the cage but Kimura circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kimura ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Kimura throws a leg kick but Ellison sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Kimura misses with a two punch combination.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ellison shoots in and drives through. Kimura sprawls well.

Ellison shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kimura but Kimura pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kimura throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ellison.
Kimura scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ellison looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kimura is looking to sinch up a triangle. Ellison throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kimura's body to avoid the submission. Kimura has instead reached around Ellison's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kimura arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
