Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Panagiotis Nikolau (ranked 2620 p4p, 3817 weight class) and Jules Ann (ranked 363 p4p, 495 weight class). Jules Ann will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ann scores with a hook.
Ann looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Ann misses with a right hand
enabling Nikolau to counter with a crisp jab.
Ann misses with a looping right.
Nikolau slips a jab from Ann.
Nikolau moves away from the strike by Ann.
Nikolau throws an overhand right that lands on Ann's shoulder, as Ann tries to avoid the shot.
Ann is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Ann falls off balance throwing a combination

and Nikolau moves into the clinch.
Nikolau lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Ann or not.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ann wants to break free but Nikolau has control.
Nikolau definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Ann wants to get back to striking at distance but Nikolau won't allow it.
Nikolau lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ann backwards.
A head punch on the inside from Nikolau fails to land.

Nikolau's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nikolau slips under a jab.

Nikolau takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Nikolau throws a lazy uppercut
and Ann counters with a straight right hand.
Nikolau will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nikolau rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Nikolau takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Ann lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Nikolau at a distance.
Ann misses with a looping left.
Nikolau misses with a series of wild punches.

and Nikolau counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Nikolau walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Nikolau lunges at Ann with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ann's hand.
Ann misses with a looping left.
Ann moves out of range as Nikolau strikes.
Ann throws out a counter right but Nikolau avoids it with no problem.
Nikolau tries to clinch but fails miserably
letting Ann counter with a right hand.

It looks like Panagiotis Nikolau has been cut.
Ann scores with a jab. Nikolau acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Oh Nikolau is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Ann counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Nikolau glances at the clock... BAM! Ann nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Nikolau crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Nikolau is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
