Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zhengqiu Chin (ranked 5657 p4p, 3593 weight class) and Ani Kwata (ranked 625 p4p, 459 weight class). Chin comes to the cage accompanied by Chinese Boxing Rhythm. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Zhengqiu Chin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ani Kwata! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kwata misses with a takedown attempt - Chin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Chin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kwata moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kwata shoots in and drives through. Chin sprawls well. As Kwata tries to get set, Chin tries to push him back and clinch up but Kwata manages to avoid the attempt. Chin misses with the combination.
Kwata tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Kwata showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Chin.
Kwata shoots for a double leg takedown but Chin sprawls well. He's pushed Kwata's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Zhengqiu Chin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ani Kwata. Kwata gets a double leg takedown into Chin's guard. Chin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kwata lands a couple of elbows. Kwata chips away with some ground and pound. Kwata scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Kwata working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kwata has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Chin is looking to stand up but Kwata isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kwata scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kwata is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Kwata stands up over Chin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Kwata scoring with punches to the head and body. Kwata is in close to Chin's body, working some short punches and elbows. Chin being controlled here, momentarily. Kwata content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Kwata won't allow Chin to get back to his feet. Kwata works over Chin with some ground and pound from guard. Kwata works over Chin with some ground and pound from guard. Chin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Chin wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kwata manages to pass to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well, if Kwata is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Nice strikes from Kwata there. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kwata connects with a nice short shot to Chin's temple. Kwata looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Kwata winds up and cracks Chin with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kwata lands strikes from half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kwata working the head and body with strikes. Chin has hold of Kwata's hands but Kwata slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Kwata scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kwata lands with a punch from half guard. Kwata looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Kwata landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Kwata working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Chin is rocked! Kwata takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Oh Chin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kwata lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Chin! More strikes land and this one is all over! Kwata jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ani Kwata!
