These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Erick throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Von Erick tries to clinch up.
Von Erick throws a nice outside leg kick.
Von Erick closes the distance but Doober moves to the side
and Doober counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Von Erick tries to clinch up but Doober circles away and keeps his distance.
Doober keeps the fight on the outside.

and Doober counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Doober lands a jab to Von Erick's midsection.
Doober ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Von Erick moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Doober feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Von Erick sprawling to the canvas! Von Erick rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Doober finish him?!

Doober lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Von Erick tries to close the distance and clinch but Doober swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Doober throws out a counter right but Von Erick avoids it with no problem.
Rick Von Erick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Doober! But no joy.

Doober tests Von Erick's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Von Erick closes the distance but Doober moves to the side
and Doober counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
