Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Turk Barrett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Matthew Jiggle!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jiggle has his takedown stuffed
letting Barrett counter with a right hand.
Jiggle tries to move into range but Barrett moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Jiggle will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jiggle looks winded!
Jiggle has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jiggle there as he acknowledges the shot.
Jiggle walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Barrett throws a shot to the body.
Barrett lands a big right hand that sends Jiggle crashing to the mat! Barrett stays standing though and waves Jiggle back to his feet!
Jiggle is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barrett is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Jiggle flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Jiggle is out cold! Barrett holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Turk Barrett!
