With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Desmond!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Desmond fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kane , pushing him back against the cage.
Desmond throws a knee to the head but misses.
Kane connects with a knee to the head.
Desmond drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kane avoids the elbow strike from Desmond, against the cage.
Kane trying to control the position but instead, Desmond has worked for underhooks and has pushed Kane into the cage.
Kane stalling in the clinch.
Knees to the body from Kane .
Desmond looks winded!
Kane landing knees to the body.
Kane breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Desmond has eaten all the pies!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kane misses with a few strikes there.
Desmond uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kane .

Kane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Desmond ducks under a wild hook from Kane .
Kane ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Desmond moves away.
Nice sprawl there from Kane as Desmond shoots in.
Kane was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Desmond walks into a straight right hand from Kane .
Kane tries to bum rush Desmond with a series of wild strikes but Desmond uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kane throws an overhand right that lands on Desmond's shoulder, as Desmond tries to avoid the shot.
Desmond showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kane .
Kane throws a jab when Desmond was well out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kane lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Desmond circles away quickly and effectively.
Desmond shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kane as he avoids it easily.
Xavier Kane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Desmond.
Kane throws a series of punches but Desmond moves out of range.
Kane misses with a looping left.
And Desmond tries to counter it with a takedown but Kane pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Kane wants to clinch up but Desmond keeps it at a distance.
Kane lands with a hook. Desmond tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Some wild striking there from Kane .
Kane 's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kane duly obliges.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Desmond is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kane .
Desmond avoids the body shot from Kane .
Kane throws a looping overhand right but Desmond ducks down to avoid it.

Desmond shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kane pinned against the cage. Kane gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A swing and a miss from Kane .
Kane wants to clinch.
Kane misses the shot to the body.
Desmond throws out a counter right but Kane avoids it with no problem.
A jab from Kane finds it's way through Desmond's defenses.
Kane is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Kane swats away the attempt to clinch by Desmond.
Desmond circles away from the clinch attempt.
Desmond rushes Kane and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kane jerks Desmond's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Desmond drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Kane goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Kane because Desmond was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
