Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Julio Madrid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charles Tremblay! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Reed Andrews and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tremblay scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Madrid shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. No joy there for Tremblay, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tremblay misses with a jab, cross combination.
Tremblay rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Madrid moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Tremblay fails to land with a series of punches.
Madrid shoots in for a takedown but Tremblay shows good takedown defense. Tremblay misses with a two punch combination.
Tremblay slaps away a takedown attempt from Madrid, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julio Madrid. That's going to take a lot out of him. Decent striking displayed by Tremblay there. Madrid closes the distance and clinches up with Tremblay, looking for a takedown. Madrid pushes Tremblay against the cage but Tremblay circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tremblay misses with a wild combination.

Madrid is looking to counter the offense by Tremblay and move into the clinch.

and Madrid moves into the clinch. Madrid pulls guard successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Madrid looking for subs off his back but Tremblay has passed one foot through into half guard.

Tremblay really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Madrid. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tremblay is sitting in close to Madrid's body. Madrid has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Tremblay is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Tremblay is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Madrid.
