Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mac Anudo (ranked 1985 p4p, 2849 weight class) and Felix Valero (ranked 287 p4p, 395 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Mac Anudo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Felix Valero!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valero lands with a right hand.

Anudo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Anudo is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Valero is looking to escape.
Anudo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Valero really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anudo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Anudo sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Valero defending well though.

Valero is defending against the submission attempts here by Anudo.
Anudo has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Anudo is landing with some decent strikes but Valero is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

It looks like Felix Valero has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Anudo working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Valero turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Anudo off and cradles Valero's limp body as Anudo celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Mac Anudo!
