The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Gavin. Those never looked like landing.
Gavin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Strassi swivels and escapes.
Gavin closes the distance and clinches up with Strassi, looking for a takedown. Gavin pushes Strassi against the cage but Strassi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Strassi moves out of range of the body kick.
Strassi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gavin moves away.
Strassi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gavin keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Gavin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Strassi as he jumps to the side.

and Strassi counters with a nice uppercut.

Gavin dives in and grabs Strassi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Strassi pushes down on Gavin's head and hops out.

Gavin shoots for a double leg takedown but Strassi sprawls well. He's pushed Gavin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

As Strassi looks to move away, Gavin throws a big counter combo but Strassi just gets out of the way.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gavin checks a leg kick.
Dokk Strassi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Well Strassi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
