Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gene Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Wolff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mac kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Last Song. Rich Wolff acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gene Mac! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rich Wolff! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mac showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wolff.
Wolff misses with a body kick. Wolff throws a solid leg kick but Mac takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Wolff. Wolff throws a push kick but Mac slaps the foot to one side. Wolff is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mac. A telegraphed right hand from Wolff misses the target. Mac shoots for a double leg takedown but Wolff sprawls well. He's pushed Mac's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Some wild striking there from Wolff.
Wolff throws a head kick but Mac moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wolff changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mac looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Mac tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mac trying to remain calm as Wolff controls from the top position. Wolff working away. Wolff takes a little break here. Mac wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Wolff working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wolff stands up and we're back to a striking position. An inside leg kick from Wolff misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wolff throws a right and a left that Mac avoids nicely. Mac misses with a takedown attempt and Wolff counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mac won't be happy with that. Wolff looks gassed! Mac tries to improve position but can't. Wolff goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mac has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Wolff but great work by Mac. Mac trying to control the position but Wolff is working away. Wolff is trying to control Mac's posture but Mac avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wolff is trying to escape the position but Mac is controlling the position. Mac tries for a kimura but Wolff is defending well. Mac could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Wolff is looking to reverse the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rich Wolff dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Mac tries for a takedown but Wolff circles away easily and Wolff counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mac's guard now. Mac wants to sweep but no luck. Mac looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Wolff pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mac is keeping the position for now. Wolff is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wolff trying to control but Mac is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wolff stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mac swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wolff stands and steps away. Mac gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Mac uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wolff.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Wolff looks to land a combination but Mac avoids it well. Wolff misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wolff throws a solid leg kick but Mac takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Wolff. Wolff throws a looping overhand right but Mac ducks down to avoid it. Mac gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Wolff counters with a body kick that stops Mac in his tracks momentarily. Wolff throws a nice looking combination but Mac bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wolff misses with a straight left. Mac shoots and misses and Wolff counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mac won't be happy with that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gene Mac. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mac manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Wolff wants to control but Mac is keeping busy.
Wolff throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Mac manages to pass to side control. Mac is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wolff is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mac tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mac has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Mac thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rich Wolff showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Wolff shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Wolff goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Mac is on top in guard.
Wolff keeping moving, preventing Mac from controlling successfully. Mac might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Wolff takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Wolff wriggles free and stands up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mac looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Mac is standing up over Wolff. Wolff looks to escape but Mac dives into side control.
Wolff tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mac tries to move into full mount but can't pass Wolff's legs. Mac is trying to get an arm triangle but Wolff is defending well. Wolff tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Mac tries to control but Wolff wriggling away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wolff tries to lock up and control but Mac gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Wolff is just holding on here. Mac manages to take his back.
Wolff looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Mac is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Wolff is defending well though. Mac let's go of the attempt for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wolff defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard. Wolff trying to control the position from guard on top but Mac is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! Gene Mac showed his dominance in that final round. Well Wolff has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
