Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Hokuto Akira!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 15 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ray Morrison!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrison dips to his left and cracks Akira with an uppercut!
Akira with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Morrison to score with a decent uppercut.
Morrison misses with a hook to the body
and Akira counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Akira avoids the head kick by Morrison.
Morrison swings widly with a right hand
enabling Akira to counter with a crisp jab.
Morrison avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Morrison lands a nice leg kick that just misses Akira's sensitive parts.
Morrison just misses with a punch to the body.
Morrison closes the distance and clinches.
Morrison misses with a hook to the ribs.
Akira misses with a short punch on the inside.
Morrison tries to work over Akira's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

and Morrison takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Morrison falls off balance throwing a combination
and Akira counters with a straight right hand.

and Morrison counters with a lovely shot to the body.

and Akira counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Morrison is rocked!
A telegraphed right hand from Akira misses the target.
Morrison is still on wobbly legs! Can Akira finish him?
Morrison moves out of range as Akira strikes.
Morrison seems to have recovered his senses.
Morrison misses with an uppercut
and Akira counters with a big right hook, that lands right on the temple! Morrison goes down! Akira rushes to a neutral corner to get the count going quickly. This one's going to be close! 3,4,5,6,7... Morrison is up to one knee.... 8,9....10! He didn't make it! This fight is over!

A relieved looking Hokuto Akira thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
