The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirk ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hunt moves away.
Kirk slips under a jab from Hunt.
It looked like Kirk was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Kirk lands with a straight right. Hunt didn't see that one coming.
Kirk takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Hunt sends Kirk crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hunt is motioning to the referee to let Kirk up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hunt lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kirk has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kirk and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Hunt sends Kirk crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hunt is motioning to the referee to let Kirk up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Hunt feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kirk sprawling to the canvas! Kirk rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hunt finish him?!

Hunt throws a lazy right hand but Kirk sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Hunt drops his hands momentarily and Kirk takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Hunt takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kirk.
Kirk thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hunt if he has to take too many more of those.

Hunt closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hunt swings wildly with an uppercut but Kirk uses good head movement to avoid it.

Kirk breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No joy there for Kirk, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kirk swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hunt bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kirk's head backwards.

Kirk swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Kirk throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hunt stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Kirk connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hunt. Hunt circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Hunt is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kirk.
Kirk stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hunt.

Hunt lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

During a confident post fight interview, James Hunt thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
In defeat, James Kirk stepped up to the mic, saying 'KHAAAAAAN!'.
