Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Megnus Maximus Jr Maximus Jr (ranked 2062 p4p, 2102 weight class) and Young Prodigy (ranked 264 p4p, 269 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Megnus Maximus Jr Maximus Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Young Prodigy !
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prodigy slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Prodigy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Maximus Jr.
Prodigy slips under a jab from Maximus Jr.
Prodigy appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Maximus Jr throws a head kick that Prodigy semi-blocks.
Prodigy moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Maximus Jr takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Prodigy smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Prodigy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Maximus Jr circles away.
Maximus Jr throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Prodigy sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Prodigy misses with a jab, cross combination.
Prodigy closes the distance and clinches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Prodigy tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Maximus Jr is looking to control Prodigy 's arms but Prodigy gets an underhook and turns him. Now Maximus Jr has his back to the cage.
Prodigy misses with some punches.
Maximus Jr misses with a punch to the body.
Maximus Jr misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Prodigy 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Prodigy lands with an overhand left.
A jab from Maximus Jr finds it's way through Prodigy 's defenses.

Maximus Jr will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Maximus Jr misses with a kick to the body.
Maximus Jr takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Maximus Jr displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Prodigy .
A combination from Maximus Jr does no damage.
Maximus Jr throws a sloppy head kick
and Maximus Jr takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Prodigy moves out of range of the body kick from Maximus Jr.
Prodigy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Maximus Jr looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Maximus Jr works over Prodigy 's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Young Prodigy has been cut.
Maximus Jr drives through with a takedown into Prodigy 's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Prodigy trying to keep a closed guard but Maximus Jr is proving a slippery customer.
Prodigy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Maximus Jr doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Maximus Jr manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Oh but Prodigy is tightening it up a little... Maximus Jr has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Maximus Jr reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Maximus Jr taps out! Nice BJJ there by Prodigy !
