Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Meet Me !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Greg Bustack!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Me shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Me scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Me keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Me passes to side control.
Bustack tries to escape but Me is in control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Me moves into full mount!
Me stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Bustack tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Me manages to pull guard.
Me throws a couple of heel strikes.
Me has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Bustack has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Bustack tries to score a body lock takedown but Me shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Me is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Bustack has Me pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Me manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Me lands a takedown into guard.
Me is standing up over Bustack. Bustack looks to escape but Me dives into side control.
Bustack looks winded!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Me taking a breather here.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Me lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Bustack is trying to get back to his feet.
Bustack is letting Me control him for a moment.
Me swings around for an armbar but Bustack sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Me 's guard.
Bustack must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Me has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Bustack doesn't defend quickly enough and Me has managed to lock this one up! Can Bustack escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Me on a fantastic submission victory.
