The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Rolls shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Savkov but Savkov pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Rolls pushes Savkov up against the cage in a clinch.

Savkov works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Savkov advances position into side control!

Rolls tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Savkov presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Savkov trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Rolls has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Savkov is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Rolls has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Rolls is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Savkov off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Savkov is looking for the choke from the back position but Rolls is controlling his hands well.

Savkov is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Rolls has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Savkov has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Savkov goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Rolls escapes and is now in half guard on top.

Rolls wants to control from the top but Savkov keeps moving.

Rolls might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Savkov haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Savkov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rolls defends it easily.

Savkov is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Rolls has his hands clasped together but Savkov extends and breaks Rolls's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Savkov.
