Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyo Kurosaki (ranked 7054 p4p, 23642 weight class) and Luis Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kurosaki's entrance music is Different Sense - Dir En Grey. A fine choice. Kyo Kurosaki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 21 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kyo Kurosaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luis Santos! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kurosaki swings and misses with a shot to the body and Santos counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kurosaki won't be happy with that. Santos passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Kurosaki! Santos controlling the pace for now. Kurosaki can't escape the position.
Santos looking to control and managing it successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Kurosaki is looking to get to half guard. Santos takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kurosaki is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kurosaki is breathing heavily. Santos tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. More stalling from Santos. Let's hope that Santos has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That's four minutes gone in the round. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Santos. Yet more stalling tactics from Santos. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Luis Santos dominated that round. That's time! Kurosaki's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Kurosaki throws a leg kick that is checked and Santos counters with a takedown into side control. Kurosaki being controlled for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Santos with more of the same as he continues to hold on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Santos is continuing to stall. Santos has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The adventures of Santos the control monster continue. Boring. Santos works to advance to full mount. Kurosaki defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Luis Santos has got the better of the ground game so far. Santos sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Luis Santos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Kurosaki looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Santos manages to escape and get back to his feet! Kurosaki throws a leg kick and Santos counters with a body kick that stops Kurosaki in his tracks momentarily. Kurosaki throws a left and a right that both miss
and Santos counters with a nice body kick.
Kurosaki misses with a right hand and Santos counters with a shoot takedown. Kurosaki fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Santos is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Kyo Kurosaki has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Luis Santos is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

and Santos counters with a good, hard body kick but Kurosaki shrugs it off. Kurosaki has managed to clinch.
Santos has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kurosaki regains guard immediately. Santos not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Kurosaki misses with a hook to the body
and Santos counters with a solid body kick. Kyo Kurosaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kurosaki misses with a left hand and Santos counters with a nice body kick. Kurosaki throws a leg kick and Santos makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Kurosaki really felt that one! Santos tries to sprawl but Kurosaki drives through with a takedown into half guard. Santos manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Kurosaki keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Santos has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kurosaki regains guard immediately.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kurosaki being controlled here, momentarily.
And that's the end of the fight! Luis Santos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Santos winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
