Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Farto Fuerte (ranked 4826 p4p, 3509 weight class) and Riku Yamato (ranked 414 p4p, 338 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamato throws a lazy head kick
and Fuerte counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Yamato doesn't manage to clinch there - Fuerte circles away.
Fuerte swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Yamato tries to clinch but Fuerte moves away
and Fuerte counters with a straight right hand.
Yamato tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Fuerte paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Yamato tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Fuerte counters with a really nice, stiff jab that drops Yamato onto his ass. He'll have to take the mandatory count from the referee but he's back on his feet and he seems OK to continue.

It looks like Riku Yamato has been cut.

Fuerte circles away from the clinch attempt
and Fuerte counters with a big right hand that sends Yamato crashing to the mat! He's very wobbly - can he beat the count?! 5,6,7,8... he's up! No, he's down again! 9,10! He's done! The referee calls an end to the bout - Fuerte takes it!
