The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jonhny bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
A lull in the action here as Jonhny stalls from top position.

Jonhny stands up and beckons The Tree Man to his feet.

The Tree Man throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jonhny.
Jonhny drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jonhny stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Ko The Tree Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The Tree Man is breathing heavily.
The Tree Man tries a head kick but it misses.
No joy there for The Tree Man, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jonhny fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with The Tree Man, pushing him back against the cage.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jonhny.
Jonhny wants to stand but The Tree Man is controlling his arm.

The Tree Man really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The Tree Man is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jonhny is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The Tree Man has his foot on Jonhny's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jonhny works his way back into a safe position though.

Jonhny drops back looking for a leg! The Tree Man is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and The Tree Man manages to kick Jonhny off! Jonhny jumps back into The Tree Man's guard.
Jonhny really doesn't want to stay on the ground with The Tree Man. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The Tree Man working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jonhny doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jonhny manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The Tree Man escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jonhny gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Ko The Tree Man will probably get the nod.

Jonhny closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Jonhny takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

He's locked it up tight! Jonhny's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! The Tree Man picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
